About us
Green Pastures Baptist Church is a fundamental independent Baptist church located in the historic city of Oberlin, Ohio.
Oberlin College was originally founded in 1833 as a Christian missionary training institute and has been a pioneer in
racial equality and women's rights. Our prayer is to once again, kindle the fire of Christian service and spreading the Gospel to a world in need of hope. We believe God has a plan for your life, God's truth is absolute, and God loves all people. Please come and join us as we draw closer to the God who loves and the Saviour who died for us.

Our vision for Green Pastures Baptist Church
1. UNITY John 17:20 - 23
When Jesus prayed to the Father, his prayer for the church is that we would be ONE. God has called us to be a
true church family: Jesus said the world would know that we are his by the way we love one another.

2. REACHING THE WORLD Matthew 28:18 - 20
Christ commissioned the church to reach a lost and dying world; teaching, preaching and making disciples. Our
job is to spread the gospel and show others the love of Jesus in every way that we can.

3, LOST SHEEP Luke 15:1-7
There are many children of God who have become discouraged, been hurt, or grown cold. We believe the Lord
wants us to seek out the sheep who have gone from the fold and restore them. We want our church to be a safe
haven for hurting people.

4. SPIRITUAL GROWTH Colossians 1:9 & 10
The Bible says that believers are to grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. We believe that through
studying the Bible and discipleship, we can learn from God and one another to grow closer to Him and gain
victory over sin.
.
5. YOUTH Matthew 19:14
We believe that children and young people are our greatest investment. They are not the church of tomorrow,
they are the church of today! The church's job is to raise up a generation to serve Him.
